The PRINCE2 7 Practitioner training course focuses primarily on presenting the broadly understood possibilities of adapting this methodology to various work environments. The course is based on two practical scenarios that show how to apply PRINCE2 processes and practices in an agile environment that requires iterative product delivery, as well as in projects involving public administration and its subsidiaries. The training focuses primarily on demonstrating the scalability of PRINCE2 and how to adapt this methodology so that it can bring benefits in any environment in which it is applied.
In terms of organization, the training is divided into two one-day modules: during the first module, the trainer and participants review the areas covered at the Foundation level and expand on them in a manner appropriate to the Practitioner level, adding content related to specific techniques and behaviours that can be observed in a project environment. Each of the areas discussed can be completed with a group exercise that allows the practical application of the knowledge acquired earlier. During this work, participants will have the opportunity to practice, among other things, product planning techniques and business case development. The group exercises are based on a unique scenario developed by Inprogress, whose creators are leading PRINCE2 trainers who are also reviewers of the Polish version of the methodology handbook. On the second day, the focus is on preparing for the exam – participants and the trainer go through the first mock exam and discuss it question by question, clearing up any doubts that arise. The exam is based on a practical scenario taken from the ‘PRINCE2 7Managing Successful Project Official Book’, which provides an opportunity for discussion and reflection on whether the solutions proposed in the exam will actually work in a real project.
