Available trainings ITIL® (Version 5)

ITIL® (Version 5) is the next evolution of the world’s most recognised framework for digital product and service management – designed for organisations operating in an AI-native, data-driven environment.
At Inprogress, we deliver ITIL® (Version 5) training based on knowledge at the source. Our practitioners collaborate directly with the creators of the framework, allowing us to go beyond definitions and explain the intentions behind the changes – helping you understand not only what has evolved, but why.
Start your ITIL® (Version 5) journey with a framework built for real digital complexity and future-ready leadership.
ITIL® (Version 5) training is also available as part of the Inprogress+ plan.

ITIL® (Version 5) represents the next stage in the evolution of the world’s most widely recognised set of best practices for digital product and service management. In the realities of 2026, where artificial intelligence, automation, and data have a decisive impact on how organisations operate, existing management models, based on value streams, practices, and systems thinking require further development and stronger alignment with products, experience, and technology oversight.
The new version of ITIL® responds to these challenges by extending the concepts introduced in ITIL 4 and providing a unified operational model for managing digital products and services, designed for organisations operating in a digital and AI-ready environment.
As the Inprogress expert team, we actively participate in the project of translating the ITIL® (Version 5) framework into Polish. This role allows us to deliver training based on knowledge “at the source”. We understand not only the new definitions, but also the intentions and assumptions behind the evolution of the framework.
This is one of the significant structural changes introduced in ITIL® (Version 5). The framework introduces a single, unified lifecycle for products and services, treating digital products and services as two sides of the same value, managed within a coherent, end-to-end model.
Instead of separate product, development, and operational perspectives, ITIL® (Version 5) offers a single approach to managing the full lifecycle, covering a set of related activities such as discover, design, acquire, build, transition, operate, deliver, and support. These activities are not linear or sequential, but can be performed iteratively and in parallel, depending on the organisational context.
By improving coordination, reducing handovers, and removing barriers between areas of responsibility, the unified lifecycle supports faster and more predictable progression from idea to value creation, which in practice contributes to shortening the time-to-market for products and services.
ITIL® Transformation is the central module of the ITIL (Version 5) certification scheme and a common element across all three advanced streams: Practice Manager (PM), Managing Professional (MP), and Strategic Leader (SL). This module is completed only once, and passing it is a prerequisite for obtaining each of these titles.
ITIL® Transformation serves as a link between the framework’s concepts and their practical application. It focuses on how to design and lead systemic change within organisations, enabling the implementation of the unified product and service lifecycle and the effective management of value streams in a dynamic digital environment.
ITIL® (Version 5) emphasises a shift from traditionally understood management towards stewardship, understood as the responsible care of the digital product and service management system.
In this approach, the role of leaders extends beyond making operational decisions to ensuring long-term coherence, accountability, and trust across the entire organisational ecosystem. Stewardship strengthens a responsible approach to the use of technology—including automation and artificial intelligence—and supports a balance between innovation and governance mechanisms.
ITIL® (Version 5) addresses AI Governance as part of its approach to managing digital products and services, responding to the growing role of artificial intelligence in organisational operations.
This approach focuses on the responsible, transparent, and controlled use of AI, taking into account risk, regulatory compliance, ethics, and impact on stakeholders. AI Governance supports organisations in building oversight mechanisms and making informed decisions regarding the use of AI-based technologies, in alignment with ITIL principles.
Within the ITIL® (Version 5) certification scheme, topics related to AI Governance are further developed through a dedicated extension module, deepening competencies in the governance of artificial intelligence in the context of ITIL.
The ITIL® (Version 5) certification scheme has been designed with real professional roles and responsibilities in digital organisations in mind. A key element of this approach is the ITIL® Transformation module, which is completed only once and serves as a shared requirement across all advanced streams.
