The ITIL® 4 Specialist: Plan, Implement and Control (PIC) course unifies five essential practices: Change Enablement, Release Management, Deployment Management, Service Configuration Management, and IT Asset Management into a cohesive framework for planning, implementing, and controlling service components and value streams. Designed for professionals in roles such as change managers, release and deployment coordinators, configuration managers, asset managers, and practice leads, this module is part of the Practice Manager certification path.
Participants gain insight into how these practices ensure reliable planning and execution of changes and releases, maintain accurate configuration data, and manage assets through their lifecycle to support service stability and value delivery. The module emphasizes robust planning approaches, coordinating deployments to minimize disruption, controlling service components, and optimizing asset utilization within the ITIL Service Value System.
Learners explore how to apply Practice Success Factors and metrics to assess capabilities and maturity, and how people, processes, technology, and governance interact to support decision-making. Topics include aligning planning and implementation with strategic objectives, managing dependencies across practices, ensuring configuration integrity, and embedding continual improvement in planning and control.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to integrate these practices across value streams, leverage configuration and asset data for informed decisions, coordinate change and release activities with minimal operational impact, and drive ongoing refinement of planning and control approaches. The training also prepares learners for the ITIL® 4 Specialist: Plan, Implement and Control certification exam.
Join us to enhance your skills in planning, implementation, and control practices and become a certified ITIL® 4 Specialist in Plan, Implement and Control.
